Renee Hunter is an Elder of the Shinnecock Nation. She provides a vital perspective to the Board from the Indigenous peoples of Long Island and their connections and contributions to the New York City Native American Community. She has served for 30 years on the Hospitality Committee for the Shinnecock Annual Pow-wow.

Ms. Hunter had an extensive career in retail. She worked at Bloomingdale’s as a Fashion Director and at Saks 5th Ave as a ​Buyer. She was also a former model​, fashion coordinator​ and an Adjunct Professor at FIT and LIM.

I believe AICH has been a powerful and supportive organization for the Urban Indigenous People and would like to continue their work.
