This 5 week Series will comprise of personal creativity and technical design. We will initiate wood burning, painting, sewing and beadwork into our projects.
*There will be tentative makeup dates available for students who cannot make a class.
‘Onkwehonwe Cradle Board and Moss Bag 5 Week Series’ $425.00 or ($155. + $65 per class).
-Workshops will be Sunday’s 2-6 pm (4-hour class)
-CradleBoard included in fee.
-All tools and materials will be provided and included the fee.
You can purchase the Series in full and save, or you can pay the upfront fee ($155) for CradleBoard and materials and purchase one class at a time.
This Series has a maximum of 8 students. To save a seat you must either pay the full Workshop Series cost or a downpayment of $155.00 for the Cradleboard and materials fee. The Class Pass of $65.00 will be due at the beginning of each class.
In the end, we will have a Collection presentation at a Monthly AICH Social, along with a presentation at The Indigenous Film and Fashion Festival in September 2018.
Must be an Intermediate beader or have an equivalent of 3 Contemporary Native American Workshops with Mohawk Coterie programming to be eligible.
Wood-Burning & Painting
Work with basic wood burning tools to handcraft your own personal design. And paint with Oil or Acrylic.
Sewing & Pattern Making
Basic Flat Pattern Making techniques, hand stitching and machine stitch integration.
Multiple options of beadwork application and professional finish assemblage.
