KENNY TWO HAWKS: Male, 14 years old. Lakota. The wise-cracking ring leader and Martin’s best friend.
Although about to fail out of school, his nonchalance covers his fears. (Looking for actors aged 18-30.)

AMANDA SMITH: Female, 14 years old. Half-Dakota, half-white. The awkward girl whom everyone picks on, even if they aren’t sure why, who desperately wants to belong somewhere. (Looking for actors aged 18-30.)
GRANDMA TWO HAWKS: Female, 63 years old. Lakota. The cool grandma who is an elder, but certainly not elderly. (Looking for actors aged 55-70.)
Due to the short rehearsal period, this will be a script-in-hand performance with light staging. Synopsis: This show follows three Lakota teenagers as they navigate tough subjects, both at school and at home. Best friends Kenny Two Hawks and Martin Leads to Water, plus outsider Amanda Smith, have all received unusual topics for their 8th grade final presentations. With Kenny on the brink of not making it into high school, Martin flummoxed by where to start on “Teaching Square Dancing to Senior Citizens,” and Amanda in need of an elder to interview who shares her Lakota heritage, the three teens must band together to make their presentations a success.
